Connect TikTok Ads

Connecting your TikTok Ads accounts brings your campaign performance data into Consultad, where you can analyze it alongside other platforms on a unified dashboard.

Prerequisites

  • A Consultad account (see Create your account).
  • A TikTok for Business account with at least one advertiser account.
  • Admin access to the advertiser accounts you want to connect.

Step-by-step

  1. In the Consultad sidebar, go to Settings > Connections.
  2. Find the TikTok Ads card and click Connect.
  3. You will be redirected to TikTok's OAuth authorization screen. Log in with your TikTok for Business credentials.
  4. Review and approve the requested permissions. Consultad requires access to:
    • Ad account data - read access to campaigns, ad groups, and ads.
    • Reporting data - read access to performance metrics and analytics.
    • Ad management - allows Consultad to execute write actions in chat (every write action requires your explicit confirmation before it runs).
  5. After approving, you are returned to Consultad. Select which advertiser accounts you want to sync.
  6. Click Save to confirm your selection.

Data sync timing

  • First sync - historical data begins importing right away. The initial sync can take a few hours depending on the volume of campaigns and date range.
  • Daily sync - after the initial import, data is refreshed once per day with the previous day's results.
  • Realtime sync - for tenants with realtime pipeline enabled, today's data is updated throughout the day.

Once the first sync completes, your TikTok Ads data will appear on the dashboard.

Permissions and security

Connection credentials are stored securely in a secure credential vault. Each organization's data lives in an isolated tenant - no other organization can see or access it.

Granting ad management access does not allow Consultad to change your campaigns on its own. All write actions in the AI chat require you to confirm each action before it is executed.

Disconnecting

To disconnect TikTok Ads, go to Settings > Connections, find the TikTok Ads card, and click Disconnect. Your historical data will remain in Consultad but will no longer be refreshed.
