Agency and multi-tenant setup

Consultad is designed for agencies managing multiple clients. Each client is a separate tenant with fully isolated data, and your agency manages all tenants from a single organization.

What is a tenant?

A tenant represents one client or one set of ad accounts. Each tenant has:

  • A fully separate data store - campaign data is isolated from other tenants at the database level.
  • Separate configuration and chat history - settings and conversations are isolated per tenant.
  • Separate secure storage - any files, feeds, or exports are stored independently.
  • Separate AI chat history - conversations in one tenant are not visible from another.

There is no way for data from one tenant to leak into another. Isolation is enforced at the database level, not just the application level.

How agencies use tenants

A typical agency setup looks like this:

  1. One organization - your agency is a single organization in Consultad.
  2. Multiple tenants - each client you manage is added as a separate tenant under your organization.
  3. Tenant switching - use the account selector in the dashboard sidebar to switch between tenants. Each switch loads that client's data, metrics, and chat history.

Adding a new client

To onboard a new client:

  1. Contact support to provision a new tenant for the client.
  2. Connect the client's ad accounts (Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Google Ads) via OAuth under that tenant.
  3. Wait for the initial data sync to complete (usually a few hours).
  4. The tenant is ready - switch to it from the account selector to view dashboards and use the AI assistant.

Access control

  • All users in your organization can switch between tenants assigned to your organization.
  • There is no cross-organization tenant access. An agency cannot see tenants belonging to another agency.
  • Client data is accessible only to users in the organization that owns the tenant.

Billing for agencies

Agencies are billed based on the total managed ad spend across all tenants in their organization. There are no per-tenant fees and no per-seat charges. Adding more clients or more team members does not change your pricing structure - only the total ad spend matters.

Best practices

  • One tenant per client - do not mix multiple clients into a single tenant. This ensures clean data separation and accurate per-client reporting.
  • Name tenants clearly - use client names or project names that your team will recognize in the account selector.
  • Connect all relevant ad accounts - each tenant should have all of that client's ad platform accounts connected for a complete view.
