Connect Google Ads

Connecting your Google Ads accounts lets Consultad import your campaign data, display it on the cross-platform dashboard, and include it in AI-powered analytics.

Prerequisites

  • A Consultad account (see Create your account).
  • A Google Ads account with at least one active customer ID.
  • Admin or standard access to the Google Ads accounts you want to connect.

Step-by-step

  1. In the Consultad sidebar, go to Settings > Connections.
  2. Find the Google Ads card and click Connect.
  3. You will be redirected to Google's OAuth consent screen. Sign in with the Google account that manages your Google Ads.
  4. Review and approve the requested permissions. Consultad requires:
    • Read access to Google Ads data - campaigns, ad groups, keywords, and performance metrics.
    • Manage Google Ads campaigns - allows Consultad to execute write actions through the AI chat (every write action requires your explicit confirmation).
  5. After approving, you are returned to Consultad. Select which customer IDs (ad accounts) you want to sync.
  6. Click Save to confirm your selection.

Finding your customer ID

Your Google Ads customer ID is a 10-digit number formatted as XXX-XXX-XXXX. You can find it in the top-right corner of the Google Ads interface, or in the account selector if you manage multiple accounts. Consultad lists all customer IDs available to your Google account during the connection flow.

Data sync timing

  • First sync - historical data starts importing immediately. Depending on the number of campaigns and the date range, the initial sync can take a few hours.
  • Daily sync - after the first import, data is refreshed once per day with the previous day's results.
  • Realtime sync - for tenants with the realtime pipeline enabled, today's data updates throughout the day.

Your Google Ads data will appear on the dashboard once the first sync is complete.

Permissions and security

Credentials are stored securely using a secure credential vault. Your data is isolated in a dedicated tenant - no other organization can access it.

The campaign management permission does not give Consultad autonomous control. Every write action in the AI chat goes through a confirmation gate where you must approve the action before it runs.
